Thank You for The Outpouring of Love

Dear TCI Community,

Thank you for the outpouring of love in tribute to Phil’s passing. Reading through the messages it was very clear that whether your time with Phil was a few minutes, or multiple years there was a meaningful connection created.

David Whyte was one of Phil’s favorite poets. It seems appropriate to share this one since it speaks to the dance of self with the entity of the team.

“Working Together” by David Whyte:

We shape our self to fit this world and by the world are shaped again. The visible and the invisible working together in common cause, to produce the miraculous. I am thinking of the way the intangible air traveled at speed round a shaped wing easily holds our weight. So may we, in this life trust to those elements we have yet to see or imagine, and look for the true shape of our own self, by forming it well to the great intangibles about us.

When you distill this work down to its essence it’s about providing Team systems (multiple interdependent humans working towards a common outcome ) with the awareness and tools to be able to choose how they as a team want to “be” together. Present and loving (agape) while creating a successful outcome together or not.

On the individual level we make that choice consciously (or not) every minute of our lives. The challenge of Team Coaching is to expand that to all the members of the team system. We as team coaches create an opportunity for a High/High team reality to unfold.

I am surrounded (literally) by the copious amounts of writings, product that Phil and I sourced, created and collated together over the last 16 years. Content was never an issue in our world. Editing it all down to manageable sound bites for a 3-day Master Class timeline and online courses was the hardest part.

Some of the collection is more esoteric, other articles are firmly planted in practicality and of course it includes expansion of the Team Coaching International model.

I look forward to sharing these with you in our monthly newsletters and the reciprocation of your sharing the meaningful work that you have sourced/created. Together we will deepen our learning and continue to grow in our work with teams.

Thank you again,

Alexis
