The team that I had last week where many of them sceptical over what they did there.
“We have a good team spirit and we all go to the same goal.I asked them to stand up and point at me.
Than I said: “When I say NOW You all point to the north.
NOW”Everyone is pointing at different direction.
I said. Ok, my job is to get the team to go in the same direction. We have something to work with.Everyone laughed and saw that the team was not perfect in way of go to the same goal. Everyone participated in the conversation afterwords.
I like this excercise and can see it being used in many different ways – for example for the topic of unterlying assumptions and clear communication, for purpose …seagway to ‘true north’… etc.
