Given how foundational trust is in to team performance, I am attaching instructions on how to use the Lifeline exercise with teams to help them deepen their connection and interactions. The tool helps teams to develop a better understanding of each other’s journeys, challenges and motivations and can be used to build trust at any stage of a team’s development. I have found it to be the most effective way to get teams to open up to each other, see their colleagues with a fresh set of eyes and increase camaraderie and collaboration.
